We’re updating Council’s Strategic Plan: Vision 2030 and developing a new Four Year Focus for 2024-2028.

As your local Council, we exist to deliver services across the district, undertake our legislative and regulatory responsibilities and play a key role in decision making and advocacy on behalf of our communities. Our Strategic Plan is a long-term plan that looks towards the 2030 horizon and identifies the main priorities and aspirations of our community for the future.

Our planning continues to be guided by the 2030 Vision for the district that was set with the community in 2020, however the Strategic Plan must be reviewed following each local government election.

The ‘Our DCY: Vision 2030’ project is a district-wide conversation that seeks to ask the community about the district’s next chapter – what do you most love? What do you wish were different and what should we tackle over the next 5 years? – to develop refreshed priorities and a new Four Year Focus.

We invite you to join the conversation. Your voices ensure that we build a genuine understanding about the community’s priorities as well as the challenges and opportunities we expect lie ahead, that’s why were making it easy to share your ideas and suggestions online, via hard copy submission or at any of our engagement events.
